Which class is for me?

Level 1 and 1.5

Suitable for absolute beginners to West Coast Swing, no pre-requisite. You can start any time. There are eleven Level 1 move sets to learn.

Level 2

You can attend Level 2 after you've done ten Level 1 classes. You can choose when you move up after this, we won't ever require you move up. Check out our Level 2 skills checklist on the front desk for more info and chat to any of our crew if you're not sure how many classes you've been to.

Level 3

You’ll need to pass a ‘skills check’ assessment to attend Level 3 classes. Read the checklist on the front desk for info on the skills you’ll need in Level 3, and talk to our crew about taking a skills check.

Prices

Our prices cover entry to the whole night; all classes and social dancing.

Casual entry

$12 standard rate
$10 for students / Community Services card holders

Social dancing only

$6 standard rate
$5 for students / Community Services card holders
0.5 credit for concession passes

Concession Pass (valid for 6 months from time of purchase)

$100 for 10 credits

Newcomers Offer (for new West Coast Swing dancers only, valid for 6 months from time of purchase)

$50 for 10 credits
$30 for 5 credits

Sunday Sesh

4pm to 5:30pm at the Village Presbyterian Church, 460 Papanui Road.

On the first Sunday of every month we run Sunday Sesh for social dancing and catching up with other dancers. We often have music from a community DJ - if you’re interested in putting together a playlist, chat to the Code 03 crew.
