The venue has attached accommodation at the Hotel Give. Use ‘CODESWING’ for 10% off bookings between 20-25 August.

Getting to the venue

The closest airport is Christchurch Airport, which offers domestic and international flights.

Ubers and taxis are readily available, or you can take Bus 8 (Lyttelton via City and Ara) from the airport to Rolleston Ave near Gloucester Street (stop 52927). All Christchurch buses offer contactless payments compatible with Apple Pay, Google Wallet, Wise cards etc.

Routines - Whetū Maiangi

We’re excited to announce a new routine division, Whetū Maiangi, at Shakedown, held on Friday night - and we’d love to see you out there!

This is your chance to choreograph and perform a piece in front of a community who's behind you every step of the way, and be judged by a panel of phenomenal professional dancers.

Entry

Entry is $20 per couple - all entry fees go into the prize pool, meaning the more entries, the bigger the prize pool.

Prizes

• First: Free passes to Shakedown Swing 2027, 50% of the prize pool, trophies
• Second: 30% of the prize pool, trophies
• Third: 20% of the prize pool, trophies

We also invite teams to come to Shakedown as part of the show on Friday night - these won’t be judged as part of the routine division, but we want to see them anyway!
